Anne has always wanted to write — although she did not always know it. She discovered that particular passion when she was in 8th grade, during a class assignment: Everyone had to contribute a text for that year’s school novella collection. From that point on, she loved telling stories, although her first stories were a bit darker than the ones you will be privy to…
Not long after that, she was introduced to the concept of “Roleplaying”, in some popular fantasy and science-fiction tabletop games of the day. That made her a geek — a thing she still is to this day. That only lead to an explosion of imagination and increased her desire to write even more. So many stories to be told!…
Her style got more refined as she wrote in several languages. Native of Canada, she feels blessed to have been able to learn and master both official languages fluently. She writes both in English and in French.
During her life, she has worked in several fields, most of which were traditionnaly male professions, where she realised the power the uniform — this testosterone-driven behaviour, hardwired in the female brain, that basically makes women melt, and makes their knees weak…
She has thus chosen, as a setting — a police force — where those basic, “caveman” instincts are put to the forefront. She has also chosen Montréal as a background for much the same reasons: The latin atmosphere, the “live and let live” attitude, the warmth of the locals, and Montréal is also the home of a great many swingers’ and other very open-minded groups, as well as — while not perfect — one of the most lively and secure place in North America. A great setting for romance and hot passion.
The need to tell a story, the little known sides of that society, whether it be the police culture or the more Latin part of Montréal, made her choose that specific setting to tell her stories and share them with you.
While some people might recognise some of the features of that great city of Montréal, a lot of it is just imagined. So, dive in, patrol the streets of the hotzones of Montréal with her, find its secluded, dark and soft areas, and enjoy the show.
